Linking External MSDS Systems

In some cases, manufacturers may opt for an external MSDS management system for enhanced functionality. Plex ERP allows for integration with these systems, ensuring a seamless workflow for safety data management. Users can typically find a link to external MSDS systems directly within the Control Panel if the system is configured to use and external system instead of the existing Safety Data Sheets screen.










Adding Safety Data Sheets

To add a new safety data sheet in Plex ERP:

  • Access the Safety Data Sheets screen.
  • Click the Add button on the action bar, opening the Safety Data Sheet Detail screen.
  • Fill in the necessary fields and click OK.

This streamlined process makes it easy to keep safety information up to date.

Editing Safety Data Sheets

Editing existing safety data sheets can be done effortlessly:

  • Open the relevant safety data sheet from the Safety Data Sheets screen.
  • Modify necessary fields as needed.
  • You can also manage attachments, view revision history, or update the status of the safety data sheet.

This capability ensures that the system remains current with any changes in materials or regulations.

Managing Attachments

Attachments are integral to the MSDS process in Plex ERP. Users can:

  • Open a safety data sheet and select the Attachments option.
  • Add, edit, review, or email attachments related to the safety sheet.

This functionality guarantees that all essential documents are readily available, particularly useful during audits or safety inspections.

Deleting Safety Data Sheets

If a safety data sheet needs to be deleted, Plex ERP simplifies the process:

  • Open the relevant safety data sheet.
  • Click Delete on the action bar.
  • Confirm in the Question window that you wish to proceed.

This straightforward approach ensures users can manage their MSDS records efficiently without cumbersome steps.
