  • Red warns that there isn't enough inventory to ship the entire order line.

  • Building Information: Displays the specific building tied to the inventory.
  • On-Hand Inventory: The actual stock available for the order part number.
  • Committed Inventory: Total quantity of order lines accounted for in that building.

Additional Criteria:

  • Only includes active orders, excluding those on hold or in quote status.
  • Ensures that on-hand inventory considers any inventory linked to jobs, if the proper setting is enabled.

Make sure to configure settings such as 'building picker display in order line entry' and 'inventory display in order line entry' to optimize this option.

Option 2: Order Line Rapid Entry Color-Coded Display

For users preferring a more streamlined approach, the Order Line Rapid Entry screen offers a color-coded system to indicate inventory status quickly. Clicking the quantity hyperlink under the order quantity will direct users to an inventory screen for further details.

Color Coding Logic:

  • Green: Sufficient inventory available for the order.
  • Yellow: Acceptable inventory levels considering work in progress.
  • Red: Insufficient inventory to fulfill the demand.
